First Responders in Osceola County Received Big Help From Federal Government

A group of First Responders in Osceola County received a big helping hand from the federal government.

The Evart Area Fire and Rescue Department is getting more than $200,000 in grant money to help them safeguard the public, giving them money they need for items like equipment, safety gear, and other resources.

According to FEMA's website, the number one goal of the assistance to firefighters grant is to help meet the needs of non-affiliated emergency medical service organizations.
