Traverse City Woman Partners with TCAPS to Give iPads to Autistic Students

Brandy Wheeler has partnered with TCAPS to give autistic students what she believes can be an important learning tool, an iPad.

Through their program, “iPads for Autism”, the district only had about 9 iPads, but more than 100 autistic students. She's gotten a few businesses involved, including Lucky Jack's. They will donate a dollar each time someone checks in using social media. Kidzart has also teamed up with Brandy for a scavenger hunt fundraiser later this month to raise money for new iPads.

With April being Autism Awareness Month, Brandy hopes more people will join in her mission.
