IRS Behind on Some Tax Refunds

You may not be getting your tax refund as soon as you thought.

The Internal Revenue Service is more than a week behind in processing some returns.

Local tax preparers say it could now take up to 21 days depending on the day you filed. They say the I.R.S. introduced a new system this year to speed up the process but problems with fraud have forced them to take it down on several occasions. If your return was sent in during that time you could see a delay.

Tax preparers are hopeful the I.R.S. will get caught up soon.

9 and 10's Kyle Mitchell and Photojournalist Jacob Johnson have more on the delay.
