Sault High swimmer breaks U.P. State Finals record

Colin MacQuarrie, a Sault High senior, broke two UP records during the U.P. State Swimming and Diving Finals Saturday in Sault Ste Marie.

MacQuarrie swam the 50 free in 20.85 seconds, which was also fast enough to earn him All-American honors.

He swam the 100 Fly in a record setting time of 52.80 breaking the oldest standing UP record previously held by Andy Stabile of the Sault in 1988.
