Feedback At 5:00- Syria’s Crackdown

Syria's violent crackdown on anti-government protesters continues to escalate.

Forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad have surrounded the city of Homs, the center of the 11-month old uprising. An estimated 5,000 people have died.

For nearly a week, the army has been trying to crush pockets of violent resistance there.

Human rights groups say more than 60 people were killed on Thursday alone.

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said the head of the Arab league will send observers back into Syria and may ask the UN to help with the mission.

Do you think the UN countries should send in troops? Why or why not?
