86th District Court in Traverse City Celebrates Michigan Adoption Day with 18 Adoptions

Tears, anticipation, and a whole lot of time spent waiting; but now, 18 children have new families. Judge David Stowe affirmed all of those adoptions this morning, but he doesn't mind. Judge Stowe says days like today are why he loves his job.

Some families have known these children for months, even years, but haven't been officially a member of the family until today. Others already have a family, but they're getting a new parent.

Some parents say, they can't put into words how happy they are this day has finally come, but it's when they leave the courtroom that the rest of their life really starts.
