Local School District Helping Families in Need

After a Michigan Court of Appeals decision, the number of people in need will only continue to go up.

Thousands of low-income families will receive less help with their heating bills.

And with winter headed our way, the timing couldn't be worse.

The Michigan Court of Appeals cut funding for heating assistance programs back in July.

The state is scrambling to come up with a temporary solution while the money sits in escrow.
