More Details: Mackinac Bridge Crash

We are learning more details on a crash involving a semi and a car on the Mackinac Bridge.

The driver of the semi, Randolph Smith, lost control of the truck Friday afternoon.

It crossed into oncoming traffic near the top of the bridge, hitting the railings and another car.

The two people from the car were not hurt.

Smith, however, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A spokesperson from MDOT says though it's not concrete, it appears Smith may have had a medical problem, which led to the crash.

9&10's Christina Vecchioni and photojournalist Eric Davis have more details after visiting the bridge today.
