New Plan Hopes to Grow Mason County Economy

A new plan hopes to grow Mason County's economy by building on its cultural heritage.
The economic development plan was unveiled Monday in Ludington.

Researchers have been looking at ways to improve the local economy for more than a year. Part of the plan includes building up the local art scene, focusing more on agri-tourism, and producing more locally made products. Project leaders say creating a unique and authentic experience will draw more people to the area and spur economic development.

9 and 10's Kyle Mitchell and Photojournalist Joel Deaner have more on the plan.
