IndyCar Driver Dan Wheldon Dies in Wreck

Monday: IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon is being remembered today after he died in an accident during a The Indy 300 on Sunday. Wheldon was taken by helicopter from the track, in Las Vegas, to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. After Wheldon's death was announced, drivers took place in “memorial laps” in Wheldon's honor. The 1.5-mile oval track was littered with debris after the 15-car wreck. Dan Wheldon was 33-years-old.
