Hundreds of people from around the Great Lakes region met today at the campus of Northwestern Michigan College for the 10th annual Bioneers Conference. The conference is made up innovative thinkers dedicated to solving social and environmental issues in an unconventional way. This year the conference included more than 50 workshops to discuss ways of protecting common natural resources that we all share. Keynote speakers discussed issues like harvesting solar energy, the benefits of buying local products and recycling. Bioneers are taking going green and sustainability to another level this year. The national Bioneers conference is also held this weekend in California near San Francisco.
