Temperatures Drop Even Further

* A Little Cool Tonight * Clouds and Showers Tomorrow * Watching for Frost/Freeze Conditions later this week ————————————————————– Temperatures dropped for many today and will drop into the 40's overnight. Northern Michigan has been smelling the wildfire out of the Arrowhead of Minnesota today. The winds shift around tonight and the smell heads out as well. Tonight's forecast calls for more clouds in the U.P. and towards the lakes over the Lower Peninsula. Inland spots can look forward to more clearing and thus colder temperatures. Winds let up a bit from the SW/W at 5-10mph or less. Another strong cold front plows in tomorrow morning pulling in even colder air. This will most certainly set off lake effect rain showers for much of the region, especially west of I-75. Highs will be stuck in the 50's with some not even getting out of the upper 40's. Winds turn strong at 12-25 mph making it feel even colder. Thursday morning will be cold with some patchy frost but I think most areas will luck out. With a light Northwest wind at 5-15 mph I still expect plenty of clouds around with a few rain showers. Plan on another cold day with highs in the 50's. Skies brighten Friday and stay bright through the weekend. The mercury warms a bit more each day making it into the 60's and 70's Sunday. – Tom
