Anterless Deer Season Opens Thursday
The 2011 Michigan Deer Hunting season begins this Thursday. The early five-day anterless only season is only allowed on private land in portions of the Lower Peninsula. When anterless only season ends it will be immediately followed by a four-day long Youth Anterless Deer Season which runs September 20-23. For both seasons firearms, archery or crossbows may be used but hunter orange is required. Hunters must have permission from the landowner or leaseholder before hunting on private land.
