Another Great Late Summer Evening

*Clear skies tonight, with areas of dense fog developing *Mostly clear tomorrow, small chance of PM shower *Cooler and more showery weather ahead for next week ___________________________ What a gorgeous run of good weather! Northern Michigan is showing it's true colors now, bringing us some great late summer weather. We've been on the warm side today, and before all is said and done, we'll have topped out in the upper 70's to a few low 80's. Tonight skies remain clear with winds turning light and variable. Dense fog is expected to develop mainly in our central areas, where temperatures will overall be a few degrees cooler than the rest of northern Michigan. Overall, lows will be in the upper 40's to low and mid 50's inland, and upper 50's near the lakes. Tomorrow we'll have partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of an afternoon shower. Otherwise, we'll remain dry and mostly cloud-free. Highs tomorrow will be in the 74-80 degree range, with SW winds 5-10 (gusts up to 15mph). Monday stays partly cloudy, with afternoon and evening showers. Highs will be in the mid 70's to low 80's. A cold front moves through late Monday night into Tuesday morning, bringing us a lot cooler and showery weather Tuesday through the end of the week. Tuesday will again be partly cloudy, with showers and even a few storms possible–highs 64-72 degrees. We'll start to really feel the cool air move in on Wednesday, with more scattered showers and highs in the mid 50's to mid 60's. This showery weather will stick around through Thursday–with sunshine returning for Friday and Saturday, but temperatures still on the cool side. -Meteorologist Katie Dupree
