Chippewa County’s Former Assistant Fire Chief Receives Jail Time
A former Chippewa County Assistant Fire Chief is going to jail. Michael Kik was sentenced to six months in jail for arson. You may recall he was arrested in October following an investigation conducted by several agencies. Deputies say they found evidence in his vehicle linking him to fires set in wooded and grassy areas. Kik will also serve one year on probation and was ordered to pay more than $1,000 in restitution.
