Charlevoix Police To Increase Enforcement Near Pine River Channel

A city ordinance in Charlevoix prohibits people from swimming in the Pine River Channel, because the city says it's dangerous. But neither the ordinance or posted signs are stopping some from cooling off in the restricted area. After recent complaints, the Charlevoix Police Department plans to step up enforcement. It all boils down to safety, and some say the swimmers are getting in the way of the boats. 9&10's Christina Vecchioni and photojournalist Eli Gardiner have more details.
