Coast Guard Finds Submarine Smuggling $180 Million in Drugs

The U-S Coast Guard sunk a self-propelled semi-submarine that has been smuggling drugs underwater. It had an estimated street value of $180 million dollars worth. The semi-sub, or S-P-S-S, was smuggling cocaine across borders in Caribbean waters. This is the first bust of this type of submarine in the Caribbean and the first underwater drug removal of an S-P-S-S. The semi-sub sank during the Coast Guard's operation, but not before a quantity of cocaine was recovered.
