Gaylord Business Collecting Care Packages, Cell Phones For Troops

An Otsego County business is trying to help Michigan soldiers overseas, but they need your help to do that. PAKMAIL, in Gaylord, is collecting donations for troop care packages. The business has been collecting cell phones for soldiers for the past four years and just recently started asking for other donations like food and hygiene items. PAKMAIL will cover the cost of packing and shipping. They are looking for food donations like beef jerky, chips, nuts, pretzels, candy, brownies and cookies. They would also like to collect hygiene items like toothbrushes and toothpaste, sanitizer and q-tips. For more information on what they can and cannot ship, you can call PAKMAIL in Gaylord at 989-732-1558. 9&10's Christina Vecchioni and photojournalist Drew Parfitt have more details.
