Jeff Blashill Named Red Wings Assistant Coach

Jeff Blashill has been named an Assistant Coach of the Detroit Red Wings. Blashill grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and played college hockey at Ferris State. In his first year at WMU, Blashill was named the National Coach of the Year by all three major college hockey publications after leading the Broncos to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 15 seasons and their first trip to the CCHA Championship game in 25 years.
