Northern Michigan Man Asks For Compensation For Lake Levels

A Northern Michigan man upset over water levels on an inland lake has failed to turn it into a federal case. Frank Van Wulfen says his lakefront home has been damaged by Avery Lake in Montmorency County. Van Wulfen wanted officials to lower the lake levels in the winter. He also said that it is an unconstitutional taking of his property and that he should be compensated. Experts say that Van Wulfen did not build his home properly. A federal appeals court in Cincinnati dismissed the case.
