Family, Friends, TC Community Gather For Carly Lewis Vigil

Hundreds of people gathered Wednesday night at the Traverse City open space to honor the life of Carly Lewis. From candles to t-shirts, everyone supported the Lewis family in their own way. “I still remember her as the sassy little girl who was carrying a cat in her arms, there’s no end to the amazing memories we had,” said Mitchell Lewis, Carly's brother. “She was a girl full of life.” Family members say she was a special girl with many friends, and the large crowd proved that to be true. “She was a real happy person, she’s always kind to everyone,” said Chad Pipkins, Carly's friend. Jennifer Profitt and Photojournalist Justin DePrekel were at the vigil. They have the story.
