Cherryland Humane Society Faces Closure in Mid-June

The Cherryland Humane Society is operating on borrowed time. Financial troubles may force them to shut down sooner rather than later. According to officials there, the tough economy has led to fewer financial donations and a record number of animals given up for adoption. If they are unable to change their current situation, they will have to close by the middle of this month. So now they are launching a new direct mail fundraising campaign. If they are forced to close, they would stop taking in new animals and stay operating until all the animals are adopted.
