Warmer Weather Coming

* Look out for Dense Fog * Warmer Tomorrow * Showers and Storms arrive Saturday Night ———————————————– Overnight features some very quiet conditions. Skies go partly cloudy to clear with the mercury dropping into the low 50's to upper 40's. Fog may become another problem tomorrow morning with visibility's down to less than 1 mile in spots. Winds stay light the rest of the night at less than 6 mph. If you don't have the fog tomorrow morning, you'll be looking at a very nice start to your weekend. Saturday begins with some good sunshine… unfortunately it will not last all day. Clouds roll in for the afternoon but temperatures still warm very nicely. Highs range from 73 to 80 degrees with the colder readings near the lakes. Southeast winds of 8-16 mph are expected. An isolated shower can't be ruled out late in the afternoon south of Traverse City. A large area of showers and thunderstorms then roll in overnight with some very heavy rain possible. This wave of wet weather moves out Sunday morning. Skies dry out for a while making it another decent day. However, with all the heat and humidity, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon. The storms could be locally heavy with torrential rain, lightning and large hail. Winds pick up out of the southwest at 10-20 mph. A large storm system comes in Monday with showers and thunderstorms as it crosses the state. Some of these storms could be severe with damaging winds and large hail. Highs in the U.P. will be in the upper 60's while everyone else hits the 70's. Showers look to linger through Tuesday morning and then move out. Temperatures cool down into the 50's and 60's. The cooler air remains in place for a few more day with readings in the 50's and 60's. – Tom
