UPDATE: Non-Explosive Military Practice Bomb Found in Otsego County

This morning, officials are releasing more details about the device found in Otsego County that prompted the bomb squad to show up. Officials say someone found the potentially explosive device yesterday on Lovells Road in Charlton Township. After the investigation the bomb quad confirmed the device was not explosive. The device is thought to have come from Camp Grayling. A spokesperson for Camp Grayling says its a lighter substitute for a real bomb used in the military. The object found was a 24-pound training device, which shoots out a flame and smoke when it lands but does not explode. Camp Grayling believes it came from an Air Force National Guard aircraft training at the camp. An investigationg is ongoing to find out exactly how the device landed outside of Camp Grayling.
