Tuesday is the 50th anniversary of man's first journey into space and also the 30th anniversary of the first space shuttle launch. On Tuesday, NASA will announce which museums will win retired space shuttles for display. April 12, 1961 is the anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight. April 12, 1981 is the anniversary of the launch of Space Shuttle Columbia. The six astronauts aboard the International Space Station will take part in Tuesday's celebration of the two major space anniversaries.
