*Severe Weather Awareness Week March 27-April 2*

Spring and summer are the times of year people usually associate with severe weather. Although floods, thunderstorms, and tornadoes can occur anytime throughout the year, they are more common as we transition from winter to summer. These hazards are more dangerous during the warmer parts of the year because people spend more time outside and are directly exposed to these events. Severe Weather Awareness Week for Michigan is March 27-April 2. The National Weather Service has information about severe weather in the link below. Take time to read and learn the valuable information. It will come in handy as we head into, and through, severe weather season. http://www.crh.noaa.gov/dtx/?n=svraware -Meteorologist Jim Lehocky
