Habitat and Homestretch Purchase Vacant TC Property

New housing will soon be coming to Traverse City, boasting it's affordability and energy efficiency. Last night, the City Commission approved the sale of this vacant piece of property to Habitat for Humanity and Homestretch. They'll sell it for about $280,000. The organizations are planning to build 20 housing units on the land. The homes will use sustainable sources like solar or wind to keep costs low. Habitat for Humanity hopes to raise about $180,000 to build the infrastructure for the project.
