New Charges Surrounding Attempted Prison Escape

The Chippewa County Prosecutor charged Andrew Ross with carjacking and assault following the attempted escape. Ross now faces life in prison if convicted. He was one of three inmates accused of trying to break out of the Kinross Correctional Facility back on July 15th. The inmates rammed a semi-truck into the prison fence and tried to run away. Corrections officers shot and killed Seth Privacky. Ross and Brian Davidson Surrendered. Ross was the only inmate of the three not serving a life sentence at the time of the escape. Davidson won't be charged with anything.
