TCAPS Offers Summer Fitness Program To Teachers
Some Traverse City teachers are the ones learning this summer, taking tips on ways to improve their health and physical fitness. It's a brand new summer program offered to faculty and staff of the TCAPS school district. The goal is to give them a way to start or continue their health and fitness goals at an affordable price. Staff members pay $79 for the summer session, which includes nutrition tips, workouts, and training three days a week with the help of a personal trainer. TCAPS says improved health and fitness can ultimately lead to reduced health insurance costs. More than 30 staff members have signed up, and TCAPS says it may try to offer the program during the school year as well.
