One Prisoner Dead After Attempted UP Escape

Northern Michigan's News Leader now knows the names of the prisoners involved in an attempted prison break at the Kinross Correctional Facility. The Michigan Department of Corrections tells us three prisoners hijacked a semi truck and rammed the fence around 9:10am. Andrew Ross, Brian Davidson and Seth Privacky are the prisoners who attempted to escape. They didn't make it far before they were stopped by staff. Privacky was shot and killed during the escape. One prisoner was shot and killed in the incident. One staff member was injured, but not seriously. The fence is secure and all staff and prisoners are accounted for.
