Teen in GR Hospital After Crashing Stolen Car

A 16-year old boy is in a Grand Rapids hospital after he crashed a stolen car. Deputies say he led them on a chase that spanned through three counties. The chase started Sunday in the village of Morley when deputies tried to pull over the car, which was reported stolen out of Big Rapids. Police say the boy took off from southern Mecosta County, sped down northland drive through Montcalm County and was weaving in-and-out of traffic into Cedar Springs in Kent County. That dangerous driving and heavy traffic forced police to call off the pursuit. Minutes later, they found the stolen car crashed just outside Cedar Springs with the driver inside.
