Police Release New Information on TC Armed Robbery

A 17 year old armed robbery suspect will appear in court today. Police are also releasing more details about the crime. Police say the Northport teen walked into the Clark Gas Station on Front Street and Barlow around 4:00 Tuesday afternoon. The clerk told them a masked man demanded all of the money in the register while brandishing a 6 inch knife. He then took all of the money and took off. The Clerk initially gave a description of what the suspect was wearing. However, an employee of a neighboring businesses told them he saw the suspect go to a nearby building, get a backpack and change his clothes. Based on the new clothing description, detectives saw the suspect walking a few blocks away. They say he ran, but officers caught up to him and forced him to the ground. A deputy got a dislocated shoulder during the scuffle and was treated at Munson. After the arrest, police say they recovered all the money and the knife.
