Studying Shipwrecks in Alpena

With approximately 200 shipwrecks around the Thunder Bay region of Lake Huron, there's a lot to learn from the area. And the place to take it all in is the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary – think of it as an underwater national park. The sanctuary is one of just 14 designated by the US government and the only one in the Great Lakes. At the sanctuary's Maritime Heritage Center you'll find lots of interactive fun to explore Great Lakes shipwrecks and history before you hit the water. Kaz and Corey visited the sunrise side of the state Wednesday morning to enjoy this great resource.
