Bon Voyage, Badger!

Friday marked the maiden voyage of the S.S. Badger out of Ludington and it was a day full of historical significance. In 2009 the Badger was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and a ceremony to officially recognize the honor took place before ship set sail at 9am. That means the S.S. Badger is now in exclusive company with icons like the Statue of Liberty and the Grand Canyon. The ship will make nearly 500 trips back and forth to Wisconsin in this its 57th year on the water and its 19th as a car ferry exclusively. Kaz and Corey joined in all the fun Friday morning as the bid farewell to the Badger from the Ludington Harbor.
