Local Health Department Holds Vaccination Clinic

To help protect other teens who have not received the meningitis vaccine, the Central Michigan Health Department is holding a vaccination clinic. The clinic is Thursday, May 27 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Farwell High School Gym. Anyone who is 2-years- to 55-years-old are eligible for the vaccine, but the health department is focusing the clinic for students, a group that's at the greatest risk right now. With Thursday's hot and muggy weather, the health department asks for everyone's cooperation during the clinic. The health department says the vaccination costs $15, and they will bill people's insurance companies. If you do not have insurance and cannot afford the vaccination, they say the fee will be waived.
