Waters Still Dangerously Cold Despite Warm Temps
First responders want to remind you that although it's hot out, most Northern Michigan waters haven't warmed up yet. Today Grand Traverse Bay was only 58 degrees. The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Department says temperatures that low can be shocking to your body. They say it can cause hypothermia or even cardiac arrest. First responders says it's best to ease yourself into the water, and they say not to jump in from a boat. Erika Waddell and photojournalist Justin DePrekel have the story.
