Prosecutors Charge Mt. Pleasant Man Accused of Attacking Another Man
A Mount Pleasant man faces ten years in prison, accused of knocking another man to the ground and kicking him in the head. Prosecutors say Gizhep Pego, a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe, assaulted another tribal man in late March. He now faces charges of intent to commit great bodily harm and assault with a dangerous weapon. Pego was ordered to remain in jail until trial.
