School Remembers Soccer Star Killed in Crash

A local community is mourning the death of one of their high school seniors. 18-year-old Carolyn Cosan was set to graduate in just a few weeks and had big plans for college. She died Friday evening when the car she was riding in lost control in Deerfield Township near Mount Pleasant in Isabella County. Police say the car flipped several times. The driver of the car, 17-year-old Cody Weisenburger, is in stable condition. The superintendent of Mt. Pleasant Schools says they lost a well-rounded student, perhaps best known for her time spent in an Oilers jersey and soccer cleats. Carolyn Cosan's visitation will be from 7-9pm Monday. There will be two more visitations Tuesday from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A final visitation will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant at noon on Wednesday. The service will follow at 1pm. 9&10's Alex Jokich and photojournalist Corey Petee have more details on how her school is remembering her.
