Sheriff’s Department Volunteer Accused of Selling Drugs
A volunteer for a local Sheriff's Department is accused of selling prescription drugs. Police say it's the first time Brian Urch has been in trouble, but now he could spend time in prison. Police arrested him in Coleman in Midland County, but Urch had been actively volunteering his time at the Clare County Sheriff's Department in Harrison. Police say it's often hard to prove when they suspect people are selling drugs. So, in this case, a local narcotics team went undercover. Urch could spend up to seven years in prison. He is currently out on bond. 9&10's Alex Jokich and photojournalist Michael Bulthuis have more details.
