DNRE Proposes Trash Burning Ban
Next year there may be stricter regulations on what you can and cannot burn. The DNRE is proposing amendments to the open burning rules. The DNRE was in Gaylord today to spread awareness about the dangers of burning trash. They want people to be prohibited from burning household trash like plastics, rubber, electronics and other items. If the amendments are passed, it would still allow people to burn leaves, trees, and brush under certain circumstances. 9&10's Cali O'Rourke and photojournalist Joel Deaner spoke with the DNRE about the hazards, they have more details.
