Are N. MI Businesses Complying With Smoking Ban?
We're five days into a smoke-free Michigan… but are businesses complying? Local health departments say yes, and credit the area for being well-prepared for the transition. The Grand Traverse County Health Department says it has not received one call about any violations of the new law. The Health Department of Northwest Michigan says it has only received one complaint so far. Health departments will be enforcing the law with routine six-month check-ins with bars and restaurants.
