Stars take Game One 4-1

TRAVERSE CITY – The North Stars do not appear to be intimidated by new experiences. Playing in its first NAHL North Division Finals, Traverse City took the first game with a 4-1 victory over the Motor City Metal Jackets at Centre Ice Friday night. The win gives the North Stars 1-0 lead in a best-of-5 series. Traverse City's Andy Huff scored a goal and assisted on another. Goalie Drew Strandberg stopped 26 of the 27 shots on goal and earned his fourth straight playoff victory. Game Two is Saturday night at Centre Ice Arena, with the puck scheduled to drop at 7.
