T.C. Commissioners Grapple With Medical Marijuana Act
Traverse City commissioners are grappling with the Medical Marijuana Act. Recently, a citizen asked permission of the city to be allowed to sell marijuana to patients in the Warehouse District. Tonight, city commissioners discussed how to handle the situation, given the vague guidelines. Commissioners discussed amending ordinances, similar to what other cities like Livonia and Grand Rapids have done. Those ideas range from outlawing the sale as violation of federal law, to allowing it with a license. Commissioners did not make any final decisions tonight, as they decided they need more information.
