UPDATE: Brush Fire in Oscoda County
Northern Michigan's News Leader is on the scene of a brush fire in Luzerne. The three acre fire is in a lumber yard with multiple piles of wood chips. Some lumber yard equipment was also destroyed. As of 5 p.m., the fire was not contained but fire lines were established around it. Fire crews are worried about the harsh winds possibly spreading the ambers. Four fire departments are on the scene. M-72 is open to traffic. Initial reports say the fire was caused by human activity.
