Reward Offered For Information Leading to Arrest of Petoskey Dumpster Arsonist
The Petoskey Department of Public Safety hopes someone knows who is responsible for setting dumpsters and garbage cans on fire around town. The department has handled eight cases in the past six months. The most recent fire happened in a dumpster in an alley behind Lake Street. So far, most of the damage has been minor, but police hope to stop whoever is doing this before it gets worse. The Michigan Arson Prevention Commission is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest. If you have any information, call the Petoskey Department of Public Safety at (231) 347-2500. 9&10's Christina Vecchioni and photojournalist Aaron Smith have more details.
