Suttons Bay falls in Class C Final

EAST LANSING – The historic run for the Suttons Bay Boys Basketball team came to a bittersweet end this afternoon at the Breslin Center. In their first ever Boys Basketball State Finals appearance Suttons Bay lost to a much more experienced Mevindale ABT squad 59-43. The Gators won it all a year ago but had to forfeit their title because of a rules violation. The Norsemen were led by Junior Forward Dwuan Anderson's double-double (16 points, 12 rebounds) and trailed by only three points with 1:20 remaining in the First Quarter. The Gators then went on a 17-5 run to finish out the half and the Norsemen never recovered. The loss snaps a 25-game win streak for Suttons Bay who finishes the season with a 25-2 record.
