Police Stepped Up Patrols For St. Patrick’s Day

With the large number of people celebrating the Irish holiday, local police stepped up their patrols to make sure things didn't get out of hand. Police have been patrolling central party locations by car and foot all day long Wednesday in Mt. Pleasant. With the sunny weather, they saw more people celebrating outside, than in a bar. The extra patrols started Wednesday evening, police say between 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. is when they start to see more activity. They remind everyone to be safe and have a designated driver if you're drinking. 9&10's Cali O'Rourke and photojournalist Joel Deaner rode along with officers in Mt. Pleasant and have a message from police.
