Traverse City Supports Special Olympic Athlete

We've been following the journey of Special Olympian Michael Currie for a couple of months now, and last night the Traverse City community came out to support his goal. Currie is trying to raise money to make the trip to Nebraska for the Summer Games. Last night, community members gathered for a spaghetti dinner benefit, with a goal of raising $500. Currie is a swimmer, who competes in the free-style and back stroke events. The Special Olympics Summer Games take place in July.
