Comedians Take Over Traverse City

Comedians have invaded downtown Traverse City and are taking over this weekend. The first ever Traverse City Comedy Arts Festival kicked off tonight. Setup went on all afternoon, as the comedians arrived in Traverse City. Tonight festival goers mixed and mingled with performers at the City Opera House. Festival founders expect around 10,000 people to come out and to bring about $5 million to the local economy. Performers tell us they're excited about the unique event and the location. Tickets are still available for most events, and you can buy them in advance or at the door. If you want to see a show that's sold out, there will be standby lines for any extra seats. Erika Waddell and photojournalist Justin DePrekel have the story.
