Special Report: Endangered Waters – The Asian Carp Threat (Part 2)

In part one of “Endangered Waters” we told you how the Asian carp is threatening our Great Lakes ecology and economy. Now Michiganders from Traverse City to those serving in Washington, D.C. are working to stop the invasion. Six other states and Ontario joined Michigan's fight, but Illinois continues to fight back. Earlier this month, governors from those Great Lakes states, including Governor Granholm, met with President Obama. The Obama administration pledged more than $78 million to battle the carp's spread after that summit; but it's not clear what will be done or when it will be done. Michael Kasiborski and Corey Adkins have the details in part two of our special report.
